Three events in April to whet the appetite for business

Three fantastic shows this Spring provide the natural products industry with all the excuses necessary to get together in a spirit of positivity.

The jamboree kicks off with Natural & Organic Products Europe (NOPEX) at ExCeL London (April 16-17) and from there the party moves on to Farm Shop & Deli/Food & Drink Expo at the NEC Birmingham (April 24-26), thence to VegfestUK which returns to The Brighton Centre after a hiatus of four years (April 29-30).

Warming the hearts of health food stores across the land will be the emphasis put on independents at this year’s NOPEX – read all about it in our special article here.

“NOPEX is always a great place to discover new products, get exclusive deals and learn from the retail and industry experts. We’re all looking forward to it,” says Len Glenville, joint Chair of Health Stores UK.

Farm Shop & Deli, part of the UK Food & Drink Shows, showcases the very latest products, big thinking, key insights and trends through the lens of the cost-of-living crisis.

The three-day event is well known for its ability to bring together the great and the good from the industry’s diverse sectors with innovative exhibitors, hot-topic seminars and business-changing awards central to the shows’ unparalleled line-up.

Meanwhile, VegfestUK is celebrating 20 years of vegan events this year and returns to The Brighton Centre for a mega indoor vegan event with an anticipated 200+ exhibitors and a whole range of vegan goods and services, plus a number of talks, demos and entertainment.

Vegfest started out in Bristol in 2003 with the first vegan event in Brighton in 2009 and for the decade up to the pandemic hosted back-to-back vegan events with a real community feel.

Brighton has always been a hotbed of vegan options and the venue is not only super friendly and well organised but also capable of entertaining thousands of people hungry for the best in plant-based living.

Nearly all the traders are independent vegan businesses and of course there will be a multitude of charities and campaigns – including the Plant Based Treaty and national campaign groups including Viva!, Animal Aid and many others gathered under the ‘Action for Animals’ summit taking place the same weekend at the event.
